Clifton Mining Company -- ASAP Kills Virus/Shareholder Meeting
Thursday January 15, 7:00 am ET

ALPINE, Utah, Jan. 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Clifton Mining Company (Clifton)(Other OTC:CFTN.PK - News):

American Biotech Labs (a private company in which Clifton owns a 28% interest) has released preliminary data on the ability of its ASAP Solution(r) to kill Viruses. Independently, Clifton Mining will hold its annual shareholder meeting February 27th, 2004.

ASAP Solution Kills Viruses

In independent test work just released by American Biotech Labs, the ASAP Solution(r) was proven to be effective at inhibiting viruses.  The test was designed to investigate the virucidal ability of the ASAP Solution(r) against a massive viral load.  In the tests, the ASAP Solution was put up against a challenge of a billion viruses and checked at 30-minute intervals. In conclusion the report states, ``The ASAP Solution(r) showed virucidal activity completely eliminating all viral particles in a period of 2.5 hours (only two particles remained at the end of two hours).'' Said Keith Moeller, VP, ``This is a very important step for us because it opens a new frontier.  Among other things, this is the first step in expanding our government disinfectant approvals to include viruses.  In fact, we believe we may have the only non-toxic hospital approved disinfectant that is now proven to inhibit viruses.''

Advance Viral Work Already Underway

Advance viral test work on the ASAP Solution(r), is already underway in various labs.  We are working with government agencies, independent companies, and humanitarian groups.  With a number of the tests nearing completion, it is expected that more viral data will be released in the next few months.
