In May and June of 2006, Aloha Medicinals conducted one
of the most comprehensive scientific research expeditions
ever undertaken in the mountains of Tibet. They
studied Cordyceps in their native
habitat. Working with the local nomad people, they
collected several hundred Cordyceps specimens directly
from nature. They brought those specimens back to their
lab and developed entirely new methods of single-spore
isolation techniques, which has resulted in the isolation
of a large number of new strains. Bringing the
latest 21st century American biotechnology techniques to
this field has resulted in a quantum leap in Cordyceps
cultivation, reducing the cost and increasing the quality
